Phoebe, a brilliant but foul-mouthed 12-year-old, became an orphan when a bizarre explosion killed her parents.

Since the accident, she has been living hidden in the basement of an abandoned theater just off of Times Square Central that she has ingeniously rigged with all the comforts of a home.... including running water and electricity.

Phoebe has deluded herself into thinking that she can maintain a life like this... self-sufficient, in control of her own little world...

... until that world goes insane and she finds herself caught in the middle of a supernatural war between Gods and Monsters waged on the streets of New York City.
